People arent letting the state of the economy curb their spending for this years holiday season.
According to the National Retail Federation, Americans spent a record $52.4 billion over the four-day Thanksgiving weekend.
In a separate report, MasterCard announced that spending on retail sales increased 8.7 percent over last year.
